Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients planned for cardiac surgery. Age *18 years. Written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Permanent AF. Mitral valve abnormalities (stenosis / regurgitation). Left atrial size >50 mm (transthoracic echocadardiography).
