acute (matige) stress stress in healthy participants and posttraumatic stress disorder

Interventions
Half of the healthy human volunteers (n=20) will be given psychosocial stress.
No intervention will take place for the other half and no intervention for the
PTSD group.

18 Years to 99 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Healthy participants: 1) Participants are able to understand the given information 2) After being fully informed about the study and the risks informed consent should be signed 3) Participants are in excellent mental and physical condition 4) Age: > 18 yrs,
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria healthy participants 1) Use of medication (or remedies containing corticosteroids) 2) High blood pressure 3) Recent or past psychiatric problems 4) somatic illnesses Exclusion criteria participants with PTSD 1) somatic illnesses 2) Repetitive psychotic episodes 3) The use of benzodiazepines more than the equivalent of 20 mg of oxazepam 4) The use of antipsychotic medication 5) Substance abuse and/or addiction (alcohol and drugs) N.B. Stable use of SSRI*s is allowed.;For the MRI scanner: exclusion criteria: Metal implants, surgical clips, pacemakers, and left-handedness.
