18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Male sex • Age 18-35 years • BMI

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Female sex • Unstable body weight (weight gain or loss > 3 kg in the past three months) • Participation in a regular exercise training program during the last year before the start of the study • Any medical condition requiring treatment and/or medication use • abuse of drugs and/or alcohol • participation in another biomedical study within 1 month before the first screening visit

MeasureTime frame
Main study parameter is the difference in lipid accumulation and insulin sensitivity after prolonged fasting compared to the control trial.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
As secondary endpoints differences in lipid peroxidation, mitochondrial fatty acid export and mitochondrial damage between trials are considered.
