Age
18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -age between 60 and 85 years old -BMI between 20-30 kg/m2 -community dwelling

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -contraindications for physical exercise -diseases associated with increased fall risk -osteoporosis -use of psychotropic medication -not being able to walk independently for fifteen minutes -martial arts experience

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Kinematic and force data are collected. The outcome measure is fall severity as defined by the hip impact force.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
In addition movement variables that are characteristic for martial arts techniques and fear of falling are measured.
