Interventions

Subjects will take an oral dose of 0.5 mg. dexamethasone once.

18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Age: 25-65

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Any current or lifetime psychiatric disorder (as defined by DSM-IV criteria) determined by SCID-I. -Chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus of any type, hypertension, hyperlipidemias, angina pectoris, myocardial and cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage-stroke, and malignancy.

To investigate relations between PTSD and the biological parameters relevant to: a) anthropometric status b) metabolic status c) HPA axis function d) endogenous opiate system e) sleep disturbances 3. To investigate relations among the above mentioned biological and psychological parame-ters in health and PTSD 4. Designing of combined psycho-biological batteries for PTSD screening, diagnosing and risk factors assessing 5. Improvement of psychological instruments for measuring PTSD 6. Implementation of new biological markers for PTSD 7. Recommendation for improvement of combined psycho- and pharmacothe¬rapy of PTSD.	—
