Mirror therapy versus standard treatment

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Minimal age 18; 2. Stroke of main stem or superior branch of the middle cerebral artery; 3. Ability to walk indoors; 4. Speaking and understanding Dutch language; 5. Stroke more than 1 year ago; 6. First-ever and only stroke.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Other neurological disorders; 2. Rheumatic or orthopaedic disorders to both arms, including shoulder girdle and spinal column; 3. Subarachnoid haemorrhage; 4. Relevant co morbidity that emerges during the study.
