Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Resistant hypertension: o elevated blood pressure (>140/90) despite the concurrent use of 3 antihypertensive drugs o blood pressure achieves target values on =4 antihypertensive medications • > 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Symptomatic heart failure • Kidney failure • Recent CVA or TIA (<14 days)

Design outcomes

Primary

Measure	Time frame
The reduction of systolic and diastolic blood pressure (mmHg) between baseline and follow-up (6 months) compared to the control group.	—

Measure	Time frame
The percentage of patients achieving blood pressure control after 6 months, compared to the control group. The number of contact moments with the outpatient clinic (visits and telephone consults), Organ damage (microalbuminuria)	—
