Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients admitted with an acute ischemic stroke.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Hemorhagic stroke.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome is a clinical presentation at admittance with an isolated aphasia in patients with a cardio-embolic stroke versus a presentation of isoplated aphasia in patients with an atherothrombotic stroke. The presence type and severity of aphasia are investigated by the Screeling Test and the Boston naming test, within 5 days of admittance.

Modified Rankin scale score at three months.
