Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Children (male and female), up to 18 years of age - Diagnosis of IBD based on conventional endoscopic, histological and radiological criteria in accordance with the Porto-criteria

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - oncologic disorder - known hemoglobinopathies - congenital malformations

MeasureTime frame
To establish the prevalence of anemia, ID and IDA in children with IBD

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- to differentiate between IDA and ACD in children with IBD - to identify determinants of ID & IDA in children with IBD (like disease related factors, nutritional status).
