Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with IMD hospitalized in a Dutch hospital between 2011 and 2019 will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Not hospitalized with IMD.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The main objective of this study is to provide updated and representative information on the burden of IMD in the Netherlands between July 2011 and May 2020.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
we have established the following secondary objectives: 1. Describe the case characteristics of hospitalized patients with IMD in the Netherlands between July 2011 and May 2020. 2. Identify the clinical manifestation of IMD (e.g. meningitis and septic shock) in the Netherlands between July 2011 and May 2020. 3. Gain insight in the disease course (in specific the time between diagnosis and hospital admission) of hospitalized patients with IMD in the Netherlands between July 2011 and May 2020. 4. Identify the disease outcome(e.g. case-fatality and sequelae) of hospitalized patients with IMD in the Netherlands between July 2011 and October 2019
