Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Apparently healthy children aged 0.5-12 years without signs of physical, mental or genetic disorders, and who are capable of participating in the study; 2. Participation of the child is approved (written consent) by parents and or caregivers. The survey will be carried out in schools, in collaboration with the schools and health offices of the local government. Sampling procedure follows randomization design. Children in selected locations who fulfill our inclusion criteria will be recruited.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children who cannot fulfil the inclusion criteria.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Nutritional status and habits of the children aged 0.5-12 y in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. The nutritional status will be assessed based on physical measurements and analysis of blood samples of selected nutrients. Nutritional habits will be assessed with food frequency and habit questionnaires. All measurements will be carried out during daytime.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Physical activity and cognitive function of the targeted children. Both will be assessed with questionnaires. All measurements will be carried out during daytime.
