Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Children with paediatrician diagnosed asthma. - Children aged between 4 and 18 years old. - Children whom will receive an ECT or spirometry measurements during outpatient clinic for monitoring of their asthma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Children who are unable to speak Dutch, or whose legal guardians are unable to speak Dutch. - Children for whom it is not possible to wear the optiflow device. Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The main study parameter is to correlate parameters of the phase diagram (sphericity, triangularity, and Aex) to ECT-determined asthma control, reflected by the behaviour of the FEV1 during the ECT.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary parameters: - correlate parameters of the phase diagram (sphericity, triangularity, and Aex) to ECT-determined asthma control, reflected by FOT measurements (Xrs,Rrs) during the ECT.
