Inclusion criteria: Patients not referred by a general practitioner or ambulance service at the emergency department.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Referral by a general practitioner or ambulance service.

Characteristics of self referred patients at the emergency department. The research consists of two branches: 1. Questionnaires filled in by the self referring patients; 2. Data from patients files (sex, age, triage colour, day of the week, time of presentation, additional research performed, diagnosis, hospitalisation, treatment, righty at emergency department).
