Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion for physiotherapists: physiotherapist who treat patients with low back pain. Inclusion for patients: patients with low back pain who visit their physiotherapist for the first time for low back pain

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion for physiotherapist: physiotherapists who are trained and qualified as psychosomatic physiotherapist. Exclusion criteria for patients: complete inability to read and write Dutch and neurologic conditions.

Language use as measured with audiotapes of first two treatment sessions and coded with a codebook.
