Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Be between 8 and 16 years old; 2) Have a prior ASD diagnosis; 3) A confirmed ASD diagnosis on the Social Responsiveness Scale; 4) a full scale IQ >80 measured by the short version of the Dutch Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children; 5) The child or parents articulate that the child has low self-esteem.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Mood disorder with a risk of suicide; 2) Prevailing trauma; 3) Specific low self-esteem is realistic (e.g. obese child has negative thoughts on his/her weight)
