Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients > 18 years • Patients scheduled for cardiac valve surgery for infective endocarditis (IE) or patients scheduled for similar surgery due to non-infectious indication in Amsterdam UMC, location AMC • Dutch speaking • Willing and able to sign consent for re-use of care data

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Patients who do not sign consent for re-use of care data • Previous history of coagulation disorders
