Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Relatives of deceased patients are eligible to participate if their deceased family member was i) older than 70 years at the time of trauma, ii) Institutionalized at the time of trauma and iii) had a proximal femoral fracture that was conservatively treated in our hospital between January 2011 and June 2019.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Relatives of deceased patients are excluded from this study if their deceased family member had a periprosthetic fracture, a pathological fracture or underlying metastatic oncological disease. Relatives of deceased patients are also excluded from this study if they are not willing to give written informed consent.
