Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - patients between 18-65 years - presenting in the emergency department of the hospital in Leeuwarden or Heerenveen with a subcaptial metacarpal fifth fracture - period 2-1-2016 till 30-7-2017

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - age > 65 - operative treatment - repositions - open fracture - concommitant injury like tendon injury of a second fracture on the same extremity - relapse fracture - patiënts with a neuromusculair condition of which to expect decreased handfunction (CVA, MS, CTS, dupuytren).
