Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18 years or over with venous thromboembolism (pulmonary embolism or deep vein thrombosis) are eligible for inclusion.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with an indication for anticoagulant therapy for a condition other than venous thromboembolism, patients with cancer-associated thrombosis, patients who do not have access to a smartphone or tablet and e-mail address and patients with insufficient command of the Dutch language to complete the questionnaires and understand the information in the app will be excluded.
