Psychosis (psychose)

Interventions

This is not an intervention study. The study is about the effect of stress on the brain. There is a control condition and a stress condition.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All subjects: 1. Aged between 18-50 2. Sufficient command of the Dutch language 3. No intellectual impairment (IQ>80) For patients: 1. Diagnosis of non-affective psychotic disorder

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All subjects: 1. Current use of psychotropic medication 2. Current cannabis dependence 3. Current alcohol dependence 4. Pregnancy 5. Severe endocrine, cardiovascular or brain disease 6. Having metal elements inside the body MRI) For relatives: 1. A life-time history of psychotic disorder For controls: 1. A life-time history or family history of psychotic disorders
