Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Age of 18 years or older - Scheduled for elective upper endoscopy with sedation - Signed informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Previous upper GI surgery precluding recognition and photodocumentation of anatomic landmarks. - Achalasia - Known stenosis of the upper GI tract - Known gastroparesis - Allergies to Simethicone - Pregnancy

| - The percentage of patients with an adequate TMV of the standard locations separately (esophagus, stomach, duodenum). - Satisfaction of procedure concerning the amount of mucus and foam according to the performing endoscopist on a scale 1-10. - Time of flushing during endoscopy to achieve adequate mucosal views. Number of additional flushes required to achieve adequate mucosal views. - Detection of dysplastic or neoplastic mucosal lesions, defined as the percentage of patients with dysplastic or neoplastic lesions during endoscopy | — |
