Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients visiting the outpatient clinic with a symptomatic cyst or abscess of the Bartholin gland, which requires surgical treatment at that moment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who don't give informed consent; 2. Patient with contra indications for one of the procedures at the time of randomization; 3. Patients who do not master english or dutch language; 4. Patients younger than 18 years or mentally competent.
