Conditions

Rigid Bronchoscopy Ventilation

Brief summary

This study compares the effects of different ventilation strategies on patient safety and respiratory parameters during rigid bronchoscopy procedures. It enrolls patients undergoing the procedure at Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital, aiming to identify the optimal ventilation mode to reduce complications.

Interventions

Jet ventilation delivered throughout rigid bronchoscopy procedure

PROCEDURESpontaneous Assisted Ventilation

Spontaneous assisted ventilation applied during rigid bronchoscopy to preserve patients' spontaneous breathing

* History of allergic reaction to anesthetic agents; * Pregnancy; * Severe dysfunction of the heart, lung, liver, kidney or other vital organs; * Cognitive impairment or neurological diseases; * Contraindications to succinylcholine (e.g., hyperkalemia, extensive burns, severe trauma, crush injury, spinal cord injury, paraplegia, hemiplegia, myasthenia gravis, etc.); Refusal to participate in this study by the patient or their family members.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frameDescription
peripheral oxygen saturationFrom enrollment to study completion, continuous monitoring during the entire observation periodUse pulse oximetry to continuously monitor and record peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO₂) values throughout the study period, to evaluate the incidence and duration of hypoxemia.

Secondary

MeasureTime frameDescription
arterial blood pHMeasurements will be performed 10 minutes after initiation of each respective ventilation mode.Collect arterial blood pH values by arterial blood gas analysis to assess the acid-base status of subjects.
arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide10 minutes after initiation of each ventilation modeCollect arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO₂) via arterial blood gas analysis.
