Detailed description

Cognitive assessment in children requires reliable and valid measurement tools. Traditional paper-and-pencil intelligence tests, such as the Wechsler scales, are considered the gold standard; however, they require lengthy administration and significant examiner expertise. Computerized systems like Rehacom offer potential advantages including standardized administration, precise timing, and automated scoring. Nevertheless, the convergent validity between Rehacom and traditional measures in healthy children has not been thoroughly established. Prior research suggests that computerized cognitive tasks may share moderate variance with traditional IQ tests, particularly in domains such as logical reasoning and memory, but specific visual field tasks may assess distinct constructs. Therefore, empirical validation is needed to guide clinicians in interpreting Rehacom scores. HYPOTHESES: 1. There will be no significant correlation between Rehacom logical reasoning scores and total Wechsler scores. 2. There will be no significant correlation between Rehacom memory for words scores and total Wechsler scores. 3. There will be no significant correlation between Rehacom visual field measures and total Wechsler scores.

Inclusion criteria

* Age between 9 and 11 years. * Normal intellectual development and academic progress according to teacher reports. * No documented history of neurological, psychiatric, or learning disorders.

Exclusion criteria

* Previous diagnosis of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or intellectual disability. * History of significant head injury or chronic medical conditions affecting cognitive functioning. * Receiving special educational support services.
