Brief summary
To investigate the effects of allicin pretreatment on delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), muscle function, and oxidative stress following eccentric exercise
Interventions
The garlic extract capsules were purchased from Jiangsu Zhengda Qingjiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (National Drug Approval No. H32025683). Subjects took garlic extract capsules orally every day for 15 days before exercise, once per day, 4 capsules each time, equivalent to 80 mg/d
The placebo was made by filling empty capsules with starch. The two were identical in packaging, appearance, color, and taste. Group B: Subjects took the same dose of placebo (starch capsules) at 80 mg/d during the same period.

Inclusion criteria
* Participants voluntarily agreed to join the study and signed informed consent forms. * Male participants aged between 18 and 24 years. * Physically healthy, with no history of major or congenital diseases. * Normal results in routine physical examinations, with no history of severe musculoskeletal injuries. * Physical fitness levels equivalent to those of typical university students majoring in sports. * During the entire experiment, participants must not engage in any intense physical activities other than the specified exercise protocol.
Exclusion criteria
* Participants with poor compliance or those who violate the experimental requirements. * Participants who are unwilling to cooperate and fail to complete the required data collection for the experiment. * Participants who have taken anti-inflammatory or steroid medications within the past month. * Participants who have experienced musculoskeletal injuries within the past two months.

The tester placed the device under the Achilles tendon, and the subject resisted by flexing the calf for 8 seconds, then returned to the initial position. | Biochemical Index Sample Collection and Testing | Before medication, before exercise, immediately after exercise, 24 hours post-exercise, 48 hours post-exercise, and 72 hours post-exercise | At Pre-drug, Pre-exercise, post-exercise, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h, 4 ml of median cubital vein blood was collected from each subject into an anticoagulant tube.
