Brief summary
The objective of this study was to investigate the immediate effects of activation- and inhibition-oriented gastrocnemius kinesiology taping on static balance control during an eyes-closed single-leg stance task in healthy young adults.

Inclusion criteria
* Healthy young adults. No self-reported neurological, musculoskeletal, vestibular, or other medical conditions that would affect postural control. No known cognitive impairment based on self-report or medical history. Ability to stand independently with eyes closed on a stable surface. Willingness to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
* Recent history or lower extremity injury, facture, or surgery that could result in pain, joint stiffness, muscle weakness, or impaired joint position sense. Auditory or visual impairment that could interfere with task performance.
