Brief summary
Improving climate change awareness among primary care nurses is of great importance for the future of the health sector. Increasing this awareness enables primary care workers to combat environmental health problems more effectively and to adopt a more conscious approach to protecting public health. Climate change is a global public health problem that negatively affects fundamental determinants of health such as clean air, clean drinking water, food, and safe shelter. Nurses, in particular, must understand these environmental risks and develop strategies to ensure the sustainability of health services. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of climate change awareness training given to primary care nurses on their climate change awareness levels.
Interventions
OTHERscenario-based climate change awareness training.
The experimental group will receive a one-day training program consisting of three sessions, prepared by the researchers. The training will be given by the researchers in the conference hall of the district health directorate. Climate change awareness will be measured in both the experimental and control groups before, after, and one month after the training. The control group will also receive training after the intervention.

Intervention model description
In this study, the district health directorate will send training invitations, and those who accept will be randomly selected as the experimental and control groups. Participants will be randomly ranked from 1 to 80 using the website https://www.random.org/lists/. This process will be repeated twice. The experimental group will be randomly selected from the two prepared lists using a coin toss. The experimental group will receive a one-day training program consisting of three sessions, prepared by the researchers. The training will be given by the researchers in the conference hall of the district health directorate. Climate change awareness of both the experimental and control groups will be measured before, after, and one month after the training.

* Being a nurse or midwife * Working in primary care facilities (Family health centers, Migrant health centers, District health directorate)

* To be a medical secretary * To work outside of primary care settings
