• This study will be conducted to investigate: 1. the correlation between scapular dyskinesis and thoracic kyphosis in patients with chronic nonspecific neck pain 2. the correlation between scapular dyskinesis and shoulder functional disability in patients with chronic nonspecific neck pain

Detailed description

This study investigates the relationship between scapular dyskinesia, thoracic kyphosis, and shoulder functional disability in patients with chronic nonspecific neck pain. Chronic neck pain is commonly associated with postural abnormalities, altered cervical and thoracic alignment, and impaired scapular movement. Scapular dyskinesia may contribute to muscle imbalance, reduced shoulder stability, and functional limitations. Although previous studies examined scapular abnormalities in shoulder and neck disorders separately, limited research has explored their association with thoracic alignment in chronic neck pain patients. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the correlation between scapular dyskinesia and thoracic kyphosis and assess shoulder functional disability associated with scapular dyskinesia in individuals with chronic nonspecific neck pain.

Interventions

DIAGNOSTIC_TESTLateral scapular slide test is used to asses scapular dyskinesia

Lateral scapular slide test is used to asses scapular dyskinesia and Flexi curve ruler is used to assess thoracic kyphosis and DASH questionnaire is used to assess the functional disabilities of the shoulder joint
