Sports-related Knee Injuries

Brief summary
This study will evaluate how well magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can detect and characterize sports-related knee injuries. The study will include patients with sports-related knee injuries who undergo MRI examination. The MRI findings will be assessed for injuries involving the ligaments, menisci, cartilage, tendons, muscles, and bones, as well as other associated abnormalities. The study will also examine how MRI findings compare with the clinical diagnosis. The goal is to better understand the patterns and characteristics of sports-related knee injuries and the usefulness of MRI in their diagnosis and management.
Interventions
Participants will undergo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the knee using a 1.5-Tesla MRI scanner. The MRI examination will include sagittal T1-weighted, sagittal T2-weighted, sagittal proton-density (PD) fat-suppressed, coronal T1-weighted, coronal PD fat-suppressed, axial T2-weighted, and axial PD fat-suppressed sequences. STIR imaging will be performed when indicated. MRI findings will be assessed for ligamentous, meniscal, cartilage, tendon, muscle, and bone injuries, as well as associated abnormalities such as joint effusion and Baker cyst.

Inclusion criteria
* Inclusion Criteria: * Patients of any age with sports-related knee injuries. * Both males and females. * Patients willing to participate in the study and provide informed consent. *
Exclusion criteria
* Contraindications to MRI. * Non-sports-related knee injuries. * Previous knee surgery. * Osteoarthritic changes of the knee. * Patients who refuse to participate.
