Detailed description
This prospective comparative clinical study will be conducted on patients presenting with first web space contracture secondary to trauma or burn injury at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Sohag University Hospital. Follow-up: After reconstructive surgery patients will be reviewed at one month, 3 months and 6 months postop

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
* Patients with post-burn or posttraumatic first web space contracture.Functional limitation of thumb abduction Patients medically fit for surgical intervention.
Exclusion criteria
* Active infection in the affected hand. Uncontrolled diabetes or peripheral vascular disease Previous failed reconstruction of the same web spacel Patients unable to comply with postoperative follow-up.
