This is a study at Sohag university Hospitals aims to determine overall diagnostic yield of Holter monitoring in children presented with arrythmia symptoms in Sohag university Hospitals, The investigators will include any child that will undergo Holter study for evaluation of his symptoms.
Detailed description
This is a Hospital based prospective cohort study, conducted at pediatric arrythmia clinics at Sohag university Hospitals. The investigators will include any child that will undergo Holter study for evaluation of his symptoms like syncope, palpitations, dizziness, or chest pain , dyspnea. Before Holter monitoring, all patients will be evaluated completely , demographic data , clinical presentation , laboratory investigation, The length of time of Holter monitoring will be determined by the treating cardiologist; most of the time, the recording will be for 24 hours. A cardiac technician will attach and remove the Holter monitor. Holter monitors may be attached within an inpatient or outpatient setting.
Interventions
A study is to determine overall diagnostic yield of Holter monitoring in children presented with arrythmia symptoms. Before Holter monitoring, all patients will be evaluated completely, including : socio-demographic factors, clinical examination, investigations like routine lab , 12 lead ECG , EEG in some cases , Echocardiography. Duration of Holter monitoring is 24 hours.

Inclusion criteria
* Any child that will undergo Holter study for evaluation of his symptoms will be included.
Exclusion criteria
* Recording duration less than six hours will be excluded.

| Evaluation of symptoms of arrhythmia by Holter study in children | 1 year | Symptoms attributed to possible cardiac arrhythmias, such as syncope, palpitations, dizziness, or chest pain are frequent complaints in children presenting to the emergency department (ED). Most commonly they are due to non-cardiac etiologies such as musculoskeletal, psychogenic, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, or idiopathic causes. Cardiac Holter monitors can provide information about the correlation between the patients' symptoms and electrocardiographic activities, asymptomatic arrhythmias, type of arrhythmia and how long it lasts, possible arrhythmia triggers, and the effectiveness of antiarrhythmic medication |
