Brief summary

When performing desk work, individuals adopt a relaxed posture and the most common musculoskeletal complaints among desk workers are neck pain, shoulder pain and lower back pain. Pilates is an exercise method in which muscles are exercised both statically and dynamically. This study is a randomized controlled trial in which a minimum of 30 female office workers working at Fırat University Faculty of Health Sciences will participate. After the participants are determined, they will be randomly divided into two groups. The study group will be given pilates training 2 days a week in addition to desk exercises; the control group will only be given desk exercises. Pain, posture and burnout will be assessed.

Detailed description

When performing desk work, individuals adopt a relaxed posture and the most common musculoskeletal complaints among desk workers are neck pain, shoulder pain and lower back pain. Environmental (prolonged static or awkward postures, repetitive movements and computer work) and physical (insufficient strength or muscular endurance and poor posture) factors contribute to the development of work-related neck pain. Pilates is an exercise method in which muscles are exercised both statically and dynamically. This method, which is used to increase muscle strength and spinal stability, also helps to increase endurance and correct posture.This study is a randomized controlled trial in which a minimum of 30 female office workers working at Fırat University Faculty of Health Sciences will participate. Inclusion criteria

* Male and female individuals between the ages of 18-65 working in an office environment, * Be an office worker for the last 1 year * Those who read the information form and signed the consent form.

Exclusion criteria

* Individuals who have had an operation involving any musculoskeletal system in the last 2 months * Non-cooperative individuals * Pregnant women * Those with malignancy * People with chronic systemic diseases * Individuals who did not want to participate in the study voluntarily.

New york posture scaleup to 8 weeksThe general body posture of the patients will be evaluated with the New York Posture Rating Scale (NYPRS). NYPD was developed to evaluate the correct and incorrect alignment of various body parts in anatomical position. NYPD is a scale that allows the assessment of possible posture disorders that may occur in 13 body parts including head, neck, shoulders, waist and back, hips, knees and ankles through pictures. Within the scope of the study, one of the 3 options suitable for the patient from the 13 body parts is determined by the physiotherapist. The evaluation is completed by giving 5 points if the patient is in normal posture, 3 points if there is a moderate deterioration, and 1 point if there is a serious deterioration in posture. The results of the evaluation range between 13-65 points, with a high score indicating correct posture
