Conditions

PERFORMANCE, VERTICAL JUMP PERFORMANCE

Keywords

VERTICAL JUMP, CORE ENDURANCE, GRIP STRENGTH, BALANCE

Brief summary

The study will include national wrestlers studying at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University School of Physical Education and Sports who meet the inclusion criteria and agree to participate. Individuals who agree to participate will be evaluated on their grip strength, hand reaction times, balance, core muscle endurance, vertical jumps, dynamic (Y-balance test), and static balance.

Detailed description

The study will include national wrestlers studying at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University School of Physical Education and Sports who meet the inclusion criteria and agree to participate. Individuals who agree to participate will be evaluated on their grip strength, hand reaction times, balance, core muscle endurance, vertical jumps, dynamic (Y-balance test), and static balance.

Interventions

OTHERNeuromuscular performance assessment protocol

Participants underwent a standardized, one-time neuromuscular performance assessment including handgrip strength, upper-extremity reaction time, vertical jump height, core muscle endurance, single-leg static balance, and Y-Balance Test performance. No therapeutic, exercise-training, or other researcher-assigned intervention was administered.

Inclusion criteria

1. Being between 18-25 years old 2. Being a national wrestler 3. Not having experienced back pain, lower back pain, or lower extremity pain in the last 6 months 4. Volunteering to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

1. Not being a national wrestler 2. Failure to complete the tests

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frameDescription
Mean vertical jump heightDuring the single assessment sessionVertical jump performance will be assessed under standardized testing conditions. Each participant will perform three maximal vertical jump trials. Jump height will be recorded in centimeters, and the mean of the three trials will be used as the primary outcome measure. Higher values indicate better vertical jump performance.
