Brief summary

This retrospective observational study evaluates the effect of different regional anesthesia techniques on perioperative blood loss in patients undergoing femoral neck fracture surgery. Patients who received tranexamic acid were grouped by anesthesia method (lumbar plexus block, spinal anesthesia, or general anesthesia). The primary outcomes were intraoperative blood loss and the change in hemoglobin between the preoperative and postoperative periods. Secondary outcomes were postoperative pain (VAS) and total analgesic consumption during the first 24 hours.

Inclusion criteria

* Aged 18 to 100 years * ASA physical status I-IV * Underwent femoral neck fracture surgery * Received tranexamic acid

Exclusion criteria

* Allergy to local anesthetics * Bleeding diathesis or coagulation disorder * Mental disorder * Allergy to the drugs used * History of cerebrovascular disease * Body mass index greater than 30 kg/m2
