Detailed description
A training program for clinicians on caring for adult orphans has been developed based on an extensive review of the literature. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of the program in clinical settings. A randomized controlled trial will be conducted among clinicians working in healthcare settings. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an intervention group receiving the training program or a control group receiving usual practice. The effectiveness of the training program will be assessed by measuring clinicians' knowledge, self-efficacy, and clinical practice related to caring for adult orphans using structured questionnaires at baseline, 1 month after the intervention, and 3 months after the intervention.

BEHAVIORALCaring for Adult Orphans
The Caring for Adult Orphans training program has been developed to improve clinicians' knowledge, self-efficacy, and clinical practice in caring for adult orphans. The program consists of three components: A film highlighting issues related to adult orphans and unbefriended older adults. A second film introducing the Hospice Palliative Care Act and the Patient Right to Autonomy Act to enhance participants' understanding of relevant legal and ethical frameworks. Three common clinical scenarios involving the care of adult orphans, used for group discussion and structured debriefing.
