* anuric and oliguric patients * calculuar ureteral obstruction

Exclusion criteria

* anomalous kidney * bilateral obstructed kidney * history of recent use of angiotensin receptor blockers or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors * ASA score of \>3
