Inclusion criteria

* Consecutive series of patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD). * Given informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

* Inability to perform pancreatogastrostomy. * Resection of other organs, except the superior mesenteric-portal vein. * Previous gastric surgery. * Preoperative gastric or duodenal obstruction. * Previous complex abdominal surgery.
