Inclusion criteria
* aged 18-55 * currently enrolled in methadone maintenance program
Exclusion criteria
* history of: a severe medical or psychiatric condition (except substance abuse; e.g., schizophrenia); brain trauma affecting cognitive functioning * prior experience with meditation
