Inclusion criteria
* Clinical diagnosis of Down syndrome
Exclusion criteria
* History of congenital cardiac defects requiring open-heart surgery * History of gastroenterologic anomalies requiring bowel resection and/or ongoing medical intervention * History of leukemia or other cancer * History of hypothyroidism requiring thyroid hormone replacement
