Inclusion criteria

* Hilar cholangiocarcinoma assessed by conventional imaging modalities (triphasic CT scan of the liver) and thought to be potentially resectable.

Exclusion criteria

* Biliary drain inserted. * Contraindication for MRI. * Pregnant or breast-feeding. * Uncontrolled diabetes (over 9.7 mmol/L).
