Infection post-surgery on the surgical site infection

Interventions

A daily visit to the named hospitals will be done by Researcher I to check the following day’s operating room schedule for any planned OBS/GYN abdominal surgeries. Participants with planned surgeries
Bathing with CHG from abdomen until two-thirds of the thighs

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult women presenting to the hospitals OBS/GYN pre-surgery wards during the study period; they will be included if they were presented for a planned surgery, consenting to participate and will be available for follow up, regardless of their nationality.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants will be excluded if they have known allergy to chlorhexidine or have a condition impeding them from participation such as blindness, deafness or cognitive impairment.
