Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria for this study were age =18 years, no history of systemic disease, no antibiotic use within the preceding 3 months, and no routine use of antiseptic mouthwash.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria for this study included active periodontal disease, ongoing orthodontic treatment, and current use of immunosuppressive medications.
