Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Inpatients currently admitted to a long-term care hospital (2) Able to communicate, or able to be assessed through a primary caregiver or legal guardian (3) Have voluntarily provided written informed consent for study participation, either personally or through a legal representative (4) Meet one of the following disease-specific criteria (a single participant cannot be enrolled under more than one disease category): 1) Alzheimer's disease -Diagnosed with F00 (Dementia in Alzheimer's disease) or its subcategories, or G30 (Alzheimer's disease) or its subcategories -Moderate severity: Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) of 0.5 or 1, and classified as "Medical Moderate" under the Korean long-term care hospital inpatient classification system; Severe severity: CDR of 2 or 3, and classified as "Medical High" under the same classification system 2) Parkinson's disease -Diagnosed with G20 (Parkinson's disease), G21 (Secondary parkinsonism) or its subcategories, G22 (Parkinsonism in diseases classified elsewhere), G23.2 (Multiple system atrophy, parkinsonian type), or F02.3 (Dementia in Parkinson's disease) -Moderate severity: Hoehn & Yahr (H-Y) scale 1, 2, or 3, and classified as "Medical Moderate" under the Korean long-term care hospital inpatient classification system; Severe severity: H-Y scale 4 or 5, and classified as "Medical High" under the same classification system 3) Hemiplegia -Diagnosed with G81 (Hemiplegia) or its subcategories -Admitted to a long-term care hospital after completing acute-phase treatment for stroke, with onset between 3 months and 2 years prior to enrollment -Moderate severity: classified as "Medical Moderate" under the Korean long-term care hospital inpatient classification system; Severe severity: classified as "Medical High" under the same classification system (5) Meet one of the following treatment group allocation criteria: -Korean medicine treatment group: Receiving two or more types of Korean medicine treatment (among acupuncture, electroacupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping) regularly (at least twice a week) for two months or longer during hospitalization -Conventional treatment group: Not receiving any Korean medicine treatment during the current hospitalization (including those with a past history of Korean medicine treatment but no such treatment since admission)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Scheduled to be transferred or discharged before completion of informed consent and data collection (2) Judged to be unable to undergo study assessments due to uncontrolled severe comorbidities (e.g., cardiovascular, respiratory, or infectious diseases) (3) Currently participating in another clinical study for the same disease (4) Judged by the principal investigator or designated researcher to be unsuitable for participation in the study for any other reason
