Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Adults aged 19 years or older at the time of informed consent. • Patients admitted to Asan Medical Center with acute ischemic stroke attributed to intracranial atherosclerotic disease (ICAD). • Patients with =50% intracranial arterial stenosis confirmed by diagnostic MRA or CTA performed within 24 hours of symptom onset. • Patients who underwent diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) within 24 hours of symptom onset, enabling classification of stroke subtype. • Patients (or their legally authorized representatives) who voluntarily provide written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Imaging data of insufficient quality for hemodynamic analysis. • Ischemic stroke attributable to mechanisms other than intracranial atherosclerotic disease. • Intracranial arterial stenosis caused by etiologies other than atherosclerosis.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Mean velocity;Peak velocity ;Flow rate;Mean wall shear stress (WSS);Peak wall shear stress (WSS)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Correlation of hemodynamic parameters (mean velocity, peak velocity, flow rate, mean WSS, and peak WSS) according to anatomical vascular segments;Association between hemodynamic parameters measured at discharge and patients' clinical symptoms at discharge and clinical outcomes at 90 days after stroke onset
