Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study is intended for older adults who were born before 1964 and have a score of at least mild depression level (raw score of 9 or higher) on the Mental Health Screening Tool for Depression(MHS:D). In addition, since the study will be utilizing the application through a smartphone, participants must own a smartphone and have the appropriate skills to use it to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects should not have any physical disability that would prevent them from participating in the current study and should have a score of at least mild depression (raw score of 9 or higher) on the MHS:D. The purpose of the application developed in this study is not limited to treat specific geriatric disorders, but to prevent mental health symptoms by evaluating the mental health and cognitive functioning of general elderly people with mild to moderate mental health symptoms and implementing training according to the results. Physical disabilities that may preclude participation in the study include physical disabilities with a disability classification that meets the criteria stipulated in the “Disability Classification Table for the Disabled” of the Enforcement Rules of the Act on Welfare of Persons with Disabilities, a history of stroke or brain injury, and obvious neurological abnormalities, an IQ of less than 70, impairment of major sensory organs, and drug, substance, or gambling addiction
