Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 19 years or older whose native language is Korean 2. Individuals with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, defined as a four-frequency pure-tone average at 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000 Hz of 20 dB HL or higher in both ears 3. Right-handed individuals 4. Individuals who are able to operate a mobile phone 5. Individuals with self-reported normal or corrected-to-normal vision

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals with a history of neurological disease or language disorder 2. Individuals who have difficulty cooperating with study procedures due to communication problems 3. Individuals who may have secondary gain related to participation in the clinical study 4. Individuals judged by the principal investigator to be inappropriate for participation in this study

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Changes in auditory-language performance. Differences in pre- and post-intervention auditory-language performance between the intervention and control groups will be evaluated using the word recognition score, speech reception threshold, Matrix sentence-in-noise test, LingCog speech reception threshold test, story recall task, and story retelling task.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Changes in cognitive and balance performance. Pre- to post-intervention changes in cognitive and balance performance will be assessed using the Korean Mini-Mental State Examination, Korean Trail Making Test for the Elderly, Digit Span Test, Seoul Verbal Learning Test, Korean Boston Naming Test, Rapid Naming Task, Controlled Oral Word Association Test, Action Fluency Task, and balance testing.
