Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged 18 years or older undergoing cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass. The prospective subcohort includes patients with heritable connective tissue disorders such as Marfan syndrome, Loeys-Dietz syndrome, and vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who previously underwent major aortic replacement or are scheduled to undergo aortic replacement during the index surgery, and patients with thoracoabdominal aortic dissection.
