Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Recruitment age: Middle-aged and older adults (50 years of age and above) Recruitment criteria: Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) Defined as the presence of 3 or more of the 5 components — waist circumference, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, and HDL-cholesterol — exceeding the respective diagnostic thresholds (Executive Summary of The Third Report of The National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) Expert Panel on Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Cholesterol in Adults (Adult Treatment Panel III), 2001) Final enrollment: A total of 35 participants were recruited with the cooperation of a home-based long-term care facility, including care workers. Individuals who provided written informed consent to participate in the study and to share their personal information Individuals capable of complying with all procedures of the clinical research protocol
