Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult female patients aged 20–65 with an American Society of Anesthesiologists physical classification of 1 or 2 who underwent elective thyroidectomy under general anesthesia lasting between 1 and 3 hours during the period from September 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: chronic cough, smoker, asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, severe cardiopulmonary, liver, renal disease, pregnancy
