Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Male adults in their early 20s who had no musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, or other medical conditions that restricted exercise participation, were able to complete the training program and physical fitness assessments, and provided written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with orthopedic or musculoskeletal disorders, those who had engaged in regular structured physical activity within the previous 6 months, those with prior experience of dietary restriction or diet control, and those receiving pharmacological treatment for cardiometabolic or metabolic dysfunction were excluded.
